India strongly warns China over the movements at Ladakh border

New Delhi: India strongly warned China that its claims regarding the LAC are baseless and any attempt to change the situation at LAC will escalate to severe consequences. Following the warning, the Indian army and air defence systems of the Indian Airforce are activated near the China border region. This decision seems to be taken after watching the Chinese jets and helicopters making moves at the border region. At the same time, China has initiated its army movements near one of the patrolling points near the border region in East Ladakh.

Indian envoy to China, Vikram Misri, fired salvos of criticism over the movements of the Chinese army in East Ladakh. India hopes China will realise its responsibility in de-escalation and disengaging by moving back to its side of LAC. Hence, China has to stop the practice of transgressing and trying to erect structures on the Indian side of the LAC, said the envoy to an Indian news agency. He further added that the actions taken by Chinese forces at the Galwan Valley have damaged considerable trust in the bilateral relationship with India. Thus, China will have to decide which way they want to take their ties with India, said Misri. Moreover, Envoy Misri befittingly replied to China by asserting that the deployment of Indian troops near the Indian border region is lawful.

Following this, the Indian army and air force have deployed Advanced Air Defence Systems in the border region in East Ladakh. The name and type of system have not been revealed as of yet. But, this advanced air defence system, which can destroy the fighter jets and drones in an instant, is claimed to have moved to East Ladakh. Over the last few days, the movements of Chinese fighter jets and helicopters have increased near the border region. Two weeks ago, the Chinese fighter jets had flown from a distance of 10 kilometres from the Ladakh border. At the same time, news has emerged that China has deployed its bomber planes near the Ladakh border. Against this background, the deployment of Air Defence System by the Indian army and air force is considered significant. Apart from this, the Indian military has initiated the process to deploy 12,000 more soldiers in Daulat Beg Oldi and Pangong Tso regions.

Meanwhile, the Chinese movements near the Ladakh border region are strongly criticised from all across the world. People in Chicago, the United States held demonstrations outside the China embassy. Besides, the UK has also expressed disapproval on Chinese military aggression and has appealed to reduce tension near the Indian border. Moreover, United States Senator, Ted Yoho, has criticised that the extensive Chinese military activities in Ladakh are part of the Chinese conspiracy.
