Washington: In the last few years, 500 UFO sightings have been reported in the US, according to a report from the US Department of Defence. There are some incidents about drones and balloons without much explanation. Since there is much discussion about aliens and UFO sightings, the US Parliament has issued directions to establish a special task force.
For decades, the US Department of Defense has collected information about incidents related to UFOs and aliens, which was never made public. However, since the US media and citizens posted UFO videos of extra-terrestrial beings, the US Department had to admit this. In 2019, the US Navy confirmed the videos to be true.
Later, this issue was raised in the US Parliament, and many, including Senator Marco Rubio, questioned this. Therefore, the US Parliament directed the US intelligence agency and the Department of Défense to establish a separate task force. 
The task force, established in 2021, has reported a total of 510 incidents related to UFOs.
Three hundred sixty-six new cases were reported, including 247 incidents after June 2021. One hundred seventy-one of these incidents have been categorised as unexplained. A Defense Department report concluded that further analysis of these incidents was necessary. Most of the incidents were said to have been reported by the US Air Force and Navy. Earlier, various officials and groups warned that UFOs pose a threat to national security, including the US nuclear program.
