Jerusalem: Ted Colbert, head of Boeing, a leading US aircraft manufacturer, recently visited Israel and met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. For their air operations plans, he offered to purchase advanced F15 jets and KC-46 fuelling aircraft for Israel. Although discreetly, the offer seems for Israel’s anti-Iran operation.
Moreover, according to a deal signed by Israel, Boeing will supply 25 numbers of F-15 fighter jets to the Israeli Air Force in the coming months. In the last month, Israel asked the US to buy additional planes. Given this backdrop, Boeing’s chief met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Gallant. At this time, Boeing chiefs proposed to supply Israel with an additional 25 F-15s. These planes, specially designed for Israel, will have a higher capacity to carry missiles. The aircraft can also carry a 7,000-pound hypersonic missile.
Meanwhile, it is claimed that Israel is making the additional purchase of these planes, looking at the threat posed by Iran. At the same time, purchasing KC-46 fuel tankers seems for a fuel supply to the planes flying to Iran on the way back.
