Washington: Chinese President Xi Jinping is planning an attack on Taiwan. About 150,000 Chinese troops and 953 ships will attack Taiwan in the first phase. Two hundred thousand troops will be sent to Taiwan to win in the second phase. The attack on Taiwan was discussed at a meeting between the Communist Party of China and the Chinese military. Audio of the meeting has been leaked on social media. Dissatisfied members of the Communist Party who are angry at Jinping’s rule and some military officials are suspected of having knowingly leaked the audio clip.
On May 14, a meeting was held between senior officials of the Guangdong Military Region, which influenced the People’s Liberation Army and the ruling Communist Party of China. Hour-long audio of the meeting was released on Chinese social media. Jennifer Zheng, who fled China and took refuge in the United States, shared the clip on social media. Military analysts claim the information is authentic.
Ten days ago, the meeting was dubbed ‘Guangdong DY-2022’ between the Communist Party and the army. DY means Dang Yuan, meaning the military movements in Guangdong. The security of the Pearl River Delta, which is as important as the capital Beijing, was also discussed.
The Pearl River Delta falls in the province of Guangdong. This area with a large population is considered the centre of Chinese industry. The region is claimed to have played a major role in making China the global workshop. High-tech cities such as Shenzhen, home to leading Chinese companies such as Huawei and Tencent and Guangzhou, China’s trading hub, also fall into this area. Important cities like Hongkong, Macau, Dongguan, Zhangshan, and Foshan also come into this Pearl River Delta area.
Overall, China’s economic and trade pulses are concentrated in Guangdong Province. The meeting between the Communist Party and the army decided to carry out a large-scale military operation to ensure the province’s security. It was agreed during the meeting that this was the right time to launch an attack on Taiwan, given the current international situation. However, during the meeting, it was also concurred that China should make the necessary preparations before launching an attack on Taiwan.
China plans to launch a two-stage attack on Taiwan. The leaked audio revealed that the first phase would involve 140,000 troops, 953 ships and 1,653 unmanned vehicles. Two lakh troops will enter Taiwan and take control in the second phase. The meeting was attended by Maj. Gen. Zhao, the Guangdong Military Division commander, and Wang Shoshin, a senior Communist Party official from the region.

International analysts are surprised that the full audio of the one-hour meeting has been leaked for the first time. Analysts say the audio was leaked by Communist Party leaders and military officials who attended the meeting. Some analysts have suggested that this could be a sign of resentment against President Jinping. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has announced that the United States will deploy troops to protect Taiwan if China attacked. But the Pentagon was forced to clarify the statements of President Biden after China warned of dire consequences. The Pentagon has stated that the United States will not take direct military action for the security of Taiwan, adding that the United States is committed to its One China policy. The United States has criticized the Biden administration for leaving Taiwan alone in its struggle against China. Earlier, the former Japanese Prime Minister had accused the Biden administration of pursuing an unclear policy regarding Taiwan.
