Wagner Troops want to ‘visit’ Poland – Belarus President Lukashenko indicates

Moscow – Belarusian President Lukashenko has stated indicatively that five thousand soldiers of the Wagner Group in Belarus want to visit Poland’s capital city, Warsaw and Rzeszow. At the same time, President Lukashenko has warned that considering the dangers of Western Ukraine going under Poland’s control, the division of Ukraine in this manner will not be tolerated. A few days ago, Russian President Putin also accused Poland of having an eye on the territory of former Ukraine and Belarus. He further stated that Poland also summoned the Russian ambassador.

Moreover, Prigozhin, the head of Wagner Group, a Russian private military company fighting the Ukraine conflict, rebelled against President Putin. As per reports, soldiers of his military company marched directly towards Moscow. However, their rebellion slowed after the negotiations were successful, and Prigozhin reached Belarus with his five thousand soldiers. After this, some people claimed that this rebellion was a strategy of President Putin.

Since the Ukraine conflict started, Poland has provided Ukraine with military aid against Russia. For this reason, claims emerged that Russia had prepared to instigate Poland by deploying 5,000 soldiers of the Wagner Group in Belarus to corner Poland. Taking serious cognizance of the Wagner troops’ deployment in Belarus, Poland has also deployed thousands of its soldiers on the border of Belarus.

Thus, Russian President Putin reacted sharply to this incident. President Putin also indicated that military action against Belarus would be considered an attack on Russia. Along with this, President Putin had also alleged that Poland is preparing to grab the territory of former Ukraine and Belarus. The Russian President indicated that Poland should remember that the territory of former Poland occupied by Soviet Russia in World War II was returned by the then President Stalin.

Furthermore, Poland has reacted sharply to this and has summoned the Russian ambassador in this matter. In such a situation, the President of Belarus, who was visiting Russia, claimed that the soldiers of the Wagner Group in his country wanted to visit Poland’s capital city, Warsaw and Rzeszow. President Lukashenko made this suggestive statement after admitting that the Ukrainian army was getting essential supplies from these two major cities of Poland. Thus, indications are being received that Russia is preparing to force Poland to pay the price for whatever military assistance it has provided to Ukraine.

The President of Belarus, Lukashenko, is a close ally of Russia. Russia now appears to be giving a message to Poland through him. Before warning Poland, Russia also deployed its missiles and nuclear weapons in Belarus. Thus, the seriousness of the warning issued to Poland by Russia and Belarus has increased tremendously.
