Tehran – Senior Iranian military official Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajijadeh accused that the United States intends to break Iran, Syria and Iraq into pieces and rule the region. But the United States has failed due to the highest Iranian leadership. At the same time, Hajijadeh threatened that the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani will never be forgotten and will be avenged.
Since the last few days, the anti-US sentiment is seen to be becoming stronger in Iran, Iraq and Syria. Iran affiliated groups in all these three countries are demanding US military withdrawal from Syria and Iraq. Some Iran affiliated leaders from Iraq demanded that the US military should leave the country. Repercussions of this were felt even in the Iraqi Parliament. It is claimed that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are behind the anti-US campaign in Iraq and Iran.
Two days ago, Brigadier General Hajijadeh of the air force from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards criticised the United States over this issue during a function held in the Iranian city of Qom. Hajijadeh raised questions over the US military deployment in Iraq and Syria. Hajijadeh accused ‘The enemy state, the United States, is trying to gain control over the region and the mineral wealth in the region. But the US scheme failed given the leadership of the Iranian supremo Ayatollah Khamenei and the people’s awareness in Iran and the surrounding countries.’ Hajijadeh claimed ‘The Revolutionary Guards will not allow the evil US plan to break Iran, Iraq and Syria into pieces. The United States deployed in Iraq and Syria is trying to break these two countries along with Iran. The Iranian population has not still forgotten the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani. The assassination of General Soleimani has woken up the countries in this region.’ A few days ago, another Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander had criticised the US deployments in Iraq and Syria. The commander had demanded that the United States should immediately withdraw from these countries.
Last year, the United States had killed QUDS forces chief General Qassem Soleimani in a drone attack carried out in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. Iran had accused the United States of murdering General Soleimani and had threatened to avenge the murder. As a part of this, the Iranian Vice President announced that the US military would be expelled from Iraq and Syria. After that, attacks on the US military bases in Iraq have increased.
