US should give up its inconsistent policy on Taiwan security, slams Abe

Tokyo: International analysts are warning that following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, even China can initiate action to annex Taiwan. Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe issued a stern warning to the United States. Abe demanded that the United States gave up its inconsistent Taiwanese security policy and announced that it would save Taiwan from a Chinese attack. At the same time, Abe warned that a Chinese attack on Taiwan would mean an attack on Japan.

The Japanese Yonaguni Island is barely 110 kilometres from Taiwan. Therefore, once China takes over Taiwan, Japan will become insecure because it will become easy for China to dominate the Japanese airspace and marine regions. Shinzo Abe pointed out during an interview. Therefore, the security of Taiwan from China is vital for the security of Japan. He frankly presented this issue during an interview with a newspaper. Moreover, he slammed the United States for ignoring Taiwanese security.

It is being exposed that the United States is making investments in China while China is exhibiting military aggression against Taiwan. It increases Chinese enthusiasm. The Chinese aggression may increase following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as Russia has accepted Taiwan as an integral part of China. In this scenario, the possibility of the Chinese attack on Taiwan has increased further. In such decisive times, the US policies are inconsistent. The former Japanese Prime Minister pointed out that this is conducive for China.

Abe retorted that Russia had shown the mirror to the European countries with the invasion of Ukraine. The European countries could not ensure the security of their ally. Instead, they are worried about their companies’ investments in Russia and China. Abe levelled a serious allegation that the European countries are avoiding taking a stand against China due to the fear that China could pose problems for them through Supply Chain Crisis.

Abe gave clear indications that because of this irresponsibility shown by the United States and western countries, Taiwan also has come under threat, following Ukraine.

Shinzo Abe recommends Japan to consider deployment of US nuclear weapons

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has suggested that Japan consider deploying US nuclear weapons. While warning that the Chinese threat has increased against Taiwan, Abe created a sensation with this demand. Japan is vying for a nuclear-free world. Japan is opposed to nuclear weapons. But Abe raised a question ‘What is wrong in cooperating on the nuclear platform through ‘Nuclear Sharing’ with countries already equipped with nuclear weapons?’ Abe believes that countries not equipped with nuclear weapons can become a part of the decision-making process for using nuclear weapons through this cooperation. This demand made by Abe could come as a shocker for China. China is already complaining that former Prime Minister Abe has adopted an excessively aggressive stand on the Taiwan issue. China is issuing threats to Japan over this. In this scenario, a solid Chinese reaction may be received over the nuclear weapons option suggested by Shinzo Abe.
