Strong protests emerge in France, Germany and Italy against NATO and

Paris/Berlin/Rome: Effects of sharply escalating fuel prices resulting in peak inflation are being felt across leading European countries like France, Germany, and Italy. Professionals in France declared a nationwide strike against the government on Tuesday. It has received a positive response from all the strata of French society. Also, the protestors in Germany are expressing their discontent with slogans like ‘There is money to fight a war, but there is no money to feed the population.’

Analysts have warned that if the problem of fuel shortage in Germany is not addressed, it will trigger a political conflict. Reports of anti-NATO demonstrations are seen in Italy along with France and Germany. It is claimed that European countries are facing a major fuel crisis due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Despite this, the European countries are persistent in their policy of imposing tougher sanctions against Russia and supplying weapons to Ukraine. The media from these countries are criticizing that this is showing an adverse impact on the cost of living in Europe.

Locals have started criticizing that the cost of living in France, Germany and Italy is increasing. The French and German population has taken to the streets to protest against the government strongly. The protestors are demanding an exit from NATO and the European Union, which has pushed their countries into an energy crisis, price hikes and soaring inflation. School teachers and employees from government hospitals, along with employees from railway and bus transport companies, have joined the protests initiated by the workers from fuel companies demanding an increase in the dearness allowance. The intensity of the anti-governmental protests increased in France on Tuesday.

Strong protests are being held against NATO, even in Germany. The German population has become aggressive because of fuel price hikes. Two days ago, the police took aggressive action against the protestors. There was criticism that Germany, which is trying to lecture the developing countries regarding human rights, should first walk the talk. Europe, including Germany, will remain unstable till the sanctions remain in force against Russia. German leaders are expressing concerns that this could intensify extremism, leading to an increase in violence.
