Russia can destroy NATO countries in half an hour in case of a nuclear war

Moscow: Russian leader Dmitry Rogozin warned that if the Russia-Ukraine conflict escalates into a nuclear war, the Russian nuclear weapons will destroy NATO countries in half an hour. Rogozin claimed that Russia would try to avoid a nuclear conflict, as the entire world would have consequences of a nuclear exchange. Rogozin is currently the head of the Russian space agency and a former Deputy Prime Minister.

Two days ago, during the Victory Day Parade, Russia displayed a thermonuclear weapon with devastating capabilities. Before this, in April, Russia conducted a test of Sarmat, the nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile. Russia announced that the Sarmat would be inducted into their defence forces soon after completion of this testing.

Within a few days of the Ukraine conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered their nuclear forces to be on alert. Western media and analysts had warned that the orders of the Russian President indicated Russia’s preparedness to use nuclear weapons. After the alert, Dmitry Medvedev, Vice President of the Russian National Defence Council, and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned regarding the nuclear weapons.

But the United States and NATO countries seem to be using these Russian nuclear warnings only for anti-Russia propaganda. Against this background, the warning of Russian leader Rogozin to destroy NATO countries in half an hour has signalled that the threat of nuclear weapons should be taken seriously.
