Prime Minister of Australia visits India

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Anthony Albanese assured that he would further strengthen India-Australia relations by increasing security, trade and direct interaction between citizens of both countries. Australian Prime Minister Albanese, who has been on a four-day visit to India, has arrived in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Besides, the statements made by Prime Minister Albanese and members of his cabinet regarding India before this visit to India seem to increase China’s unrest.

Prime Minister of Australia visits IndiaIn addition, he said that while a powerful country like China has waged a trade war with Australia, Australia has strategically decided to increase trade cooperation with India. According to this, India and Australia have concluded a free trade agreement. Currently, Australia ranks as the sixth largest trading partner with India. Prime Minister Albanese further claimed that Australia has a great opportunity in India due to India’s strong economic performance. He added that for this and to strengthen relations with India on all fronts, Australia will take the initiative. Moreover, Prime Minister Albanese claimed that his visit demonstrates Australia’s commitment to the cause.

Prime Minister Albanese said that India and Australia have a historic opportunity to expand their relations for regional stability and development. Earlier, they had a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Modi four times. However, Albanese has said he was visiting India for the first time as the Prime Minister.
