Possibility of a nuclear deal has greatly increased - Iran's chief advisor claimsTwo weeks ago, Iran and the United States held indirect negotiations on the nuclear deal in Vienna. The European Union mediated the talks. Josep Borrell, a senior diplomatic officer of the European Union, proposed the nuclear agreement before the United States and Iran after this meeting. Borrell warned Iran and the United States that this is the final proposal and that both countries should decide quickly. At the same time, Borrell had clarified that no compromise would be made in this final proposal.

Moreover, Iran is ready to accept the final proposal given by the European Union on the nuclear deal. But before that, a senior Iranian diplomatic official, speaking to a local news agency, had demanded that the US and the European Union should relax sanctions on Iran as well as guarantee security. On Tuesday, the same news agency reacted to this proposal by quoting Mohammad Marandi, the adviser appointed for the negotiations in Vienna.

Marandi claimed that this nuclear deal is possible. But Marandi drew attention to Iran’s demands, saying that Western countries should also resolve other issues with Iran while making this deal. Iran had demanded that sanctions on Iran be withdrawn and also that the Biden administration exclude the Revolutionary Guard from the list of terrorist organizations. The EU had already made it clear that these demands of Iran will not be fully accepted. The spokesperson of the US State Department, Ned Price, also said Iran should not have too high expectations regarding the demands made in return for the nuclear deal. Meanwhile, the US-Iran nuclear deal may affect the developments in the Gulf.
