Tehran: Major General Hossein Salami, chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, warned that Israel would have to pay a dear price for the attacks on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Major General Salami issued this warning after his talks with the chief of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
Moreover, Israel has accused PIJ of being a terrorist organisation. The chief of this organisation, Ziad al-Nakhalah, is on a visit to Iran, during which he met Major General Salami. The PIJ chief demanded that PIJ expects assistance from Iran to launch attacks on Israel.
Hamas has still not declared its support for these PIJ attacks. But the possibility of Hamas supporting the PIJ attacks has increased considerably with the PIJ chief’s visit to Iran. Therefore, Israel media are claiming that PIJ and Hamas will join forces in the future to intensify attacks on Israel.
