Israel has complete rights to defend itself: US President Biden

Washington – ‘Israel has the absolute right to defend itself when thousands of rockets are being fired at it. US President Joe Biden was forced to announce that the United States will fully support Israel in this matter. The White House informed that Biden also criticised the rocket attacks launched by Hamas and the terrorist organisations. At the same time, The United States blocked the resolution moved against Israel in the US Security Council.

Former US President, Donald Trump, made crushing criticism that Israel is facing these attacks because of the weakness of President Biden. After that, feeling the pressure, President Biden announced support for Israel. The White House spokesman informed that the US President held telephonic talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday.

Also, US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, held talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Blinken appealed that Abbas should make efforts to stop the rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip. But Hamas, the political opponent of President Abbas, has refused to stop the attacks on Israel. Therefore, this appeal may not have any effect on Hamas. Extreme differences are developing in the United States over the Israel-Palestine issue.

The liberal groups, believed to be the supporters of President Biden, are demanding that the United States stand with Palestine and Hamas. At the same time, the US lawmakers are criticising that the United States is not supporting the decisive actions initiated by Israel against the Hamas terrorists.
