Israel retaliates to Hamas rocket attacks; Hamas uses anti-aircraft missiles

Gaza/Jerusalem: Hamas launched a rocket attack on Israel after midnight on Monday. In the retaliatory strike, Israel destroyed important Hamas locations and arms depots. It is claimed that this is the first rocket attack by Hamas on Israel in the last four months. At the same time, there was a shocking revelation that Hamas used anti-aircraft missiles during the Israeli airstrike for the first time. Hamas had warned in the last week that it had made preparations to fight a war continuously for six months with Israel.

Moreover, on Monday, Hamas terrorists launched a rocket attack on Israel after midnight. But the Israeli Iron Dome air defence system neutralised the attack. After that, Israeli airstrikes targeted the city of Khan Yunus and other important cities in Gaza. As per the reports, Hamas has suffered significant losses in the airstrikes. At the same time, it has been exposed that Hamas has an anti-aircraft missile system. Israeli military informed that Hamas used this system against its aircraft.

Hamas spokesman Quasem justified the attack launched on Israel. The Hamas spokesman threatened that the Israeli aircraft would be the target of their anti-aircraft missiles. Al Mayadin, a Hezbollah affiliated news channel, informed that Hamas used 9K32 Strela-2 missiles to attack the Israeli aircraft. No casualties have been reported in the attacks. But the Israeli media are claiming that the Hamas attack and anti-aircraft missiles are a cause for major concern.

Just a few days ago, Hamas had threatened that the preparations for a war with Israel had been completed and Hamas was in a position to fight a war continuously for six months. Hamas had showered a whopping 4,360 missiles on Israel during the conflict last year. Israeli security agencies had warned that the weapons arsenal of Hamas had significantly increased after that. Hamas seems to have shown glimpses of its preparations using anti-aircraft missiles.
