Photographs have emerged, showing a huge fire following the attacks at the international airport and then near the capital Damascus. Locals claimed that at least three missiles had crashed on the runway, within the limits of the international airport. Earlier, in June, Israeli warplanes had carried out heavy airstrikes on the same area. After that, the said airport was closed for ten days.

Furthermore, Israel launched these attacks on the area under the control of the Iranian Army at the airport. In this, terrorists belonging to an Iran-aligned group were killed, while the passenger section of the airport was heavily damaged. Then on Wednesday, Israeli planes targeted the same airport again, and a Syrian news channel claimed that there were casualties in this attack. Israel had announced that the operation against the terrorists of Iran and Hezbollah in Syria would continue. Israeli leaders had lambasted that they would not take anyone’s permission for this. In recent weeks, Israel has stepped up its attacks in Syria and is said to be targeting Iran-linked terrorist organisations in Israel. Iran is like an ‘Octopus’ and its tentacles, meaning its affiliated terrorist organisations are spread in other Middle Eastern countries, including Syria. Israeli analysts claim that Israel is cutting off Iran’s ‘tentacles’ with these actions in Syria.
