Russia-Ukraine conflict also involves interests of other empires

He further draws the world’s attention to this by saying that the Ukraine conflict started in the interests of these empires.

Although not mentioned directly, Pope Francis seems to have hinted that the US was largely responsible for the conflict. Wealthy and influential people who own the US military-industrial complex (MIC) instigated the Ukraine conflict. Besides, there has been criticism from the US that they will get big benefits from this. Furthermore, some leaders, strategic analysts and intellectuals have alleged that the mentality of the US under the influence of the military-industrial complex has become imperialistic.

Against that background, Pope Francis has tried to highlight the imperialist mentality behind the conflict, saying that the interests of other empires have been involved in the Ukraine conflict.
