New Delhi: It has been 241 days since the corona vaccination program started in India. Over 750 million doses of vaccine have been administered under this vaccination campaign. The vaccination campaign is being carried out at the highest speed in India. At present, on average, more than 6.8 million people are being vaccinated every day across the country. As many as 6,74 million people were vaccinated in one single day, till 7 pm, on Monday. All are lauding India’s vaccination after passing the milestone of administering 750 million vaccinations and the World Health Organization (WHO) has praised India’s rapid vaccination program.

On Monday evening, the stage of giving 750 million doses was crossed under the country’s vaccination program. In just 13 days, 100 million vaccines were administered across the country. In the last 26 days, 200 million people have been vaccinated. More than 180 million people were vaccinated in August. The corona vaccination program was launched in the country on January 16. Initially, vaccinations were introduced only for doctors, health workers and later for front line workers. The first 100 million vaccines took 85 days.

Accordingly, the supply of vaccines to the states started. Since then, the vaccination program seems to have gained momentum. On average, more than 68 lakh people have been vaccinated in the last few days. So far, more than 10 million people have been vaccinated in a day, twice. More than 569.577 million people have received the first dose of vaccine, while more than 181.463 thousand people have received both doses of vaccine. 99% of health workers and frontline workers have received at least one dose so far.

According to the data released by the government, more than 13 million 64 thousand health workers have received one dose, while .86 million 11 thousand workers have received both doses of vaccine. Also, more than 18.3 million front line workers have received the first dose of the vaccine. Also, 14.1 million people have received both doses of the vaccine. The highest number of vaccinations is in the age group of 18 to 44 years. 302.6 million people in this age group have received the first dose of vaccine, while 45.287 million people have received both doses of vaccine. In addition, about 144.6 million people between the ages of 45 and 59 have received the first dose of the vaccine. Both vaccines have been given to 63.7 million people. 93.668 million people above 60 years of age have received the first dose; 49.7 million people have received both vaccine doses.

Uttar Pradesh has the fastest rate of vaccination in the country. The vaccination rate in Uttar Pradesh is higher than in the USA, Mexico, Canada and Russia. In Uttar Pradesh, an average of 1.173 million doses are being given daily. Whereas an average of 0.8 million doses a day in the United States. So far, more than 80 million people have been vaccinated in Uttar Pradesh. In Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, an average of 0.76 million, 0.480 million, .371 million and 0.45 million people are being vaccinated daily. About 70 million doses of vaccine have been given in Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, in Dadra-Nagar Haveli Diu Daman, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Sikkim and the Union Territory, 100 per cent of the population has received at least one dose of the vaccine. The rate of corona infection has decreased in these states. The incidence of new patients has become negligible. Experts say that the main reason for this is that the vaccination level is better than the population in these states and union territories.

If vaccination continues at the same pace, another 9 million doses will be given by December end. It is estimated that at least 45 per cent of the population will have received both doses of the vaccine. Experts are also pointing out that India will soon cross the 1 billion vaccinations stage.
