Hezbollah poses a threat to Arab nations: Saudi envoy to Lebanon

Arab countries, Hezbollah, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia,Riyadh/ Beirut – Hezbollah’s terrorist activities and regional military behaviour threaten Arab national security. We hope that the political parties will prioritise the supreme interest of Lebanon and end Hezbollah’s terrorist hegemony over every aspect of the state, said Saudi Envoy to Lebanon, Waleed Bukhari. This is Saudi’s response to Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah accusing Saudi King Salman of a terrorist.

Arab countries, Hezbollah, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia,Saudi envoy to Lebanon, Waleed Bukhari, responded to Hezbollah chief’s accusation while speaking to an international news agency. ‘The relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon are too deep to be affected by irresponsible and absurd comments, ‘slammed Bukhari. ‘The political parties must unite for the supreme interest of Lebanon and end Hezbollah’s terrorist hegemony over every aspect of the state,’ appealed Bukhari.

Moreover, Bukhari cited that Hezbollah’s activities have been affecting the peace of Lebanon as well. ‘We share the responsibility to maintain Lebanon’s stability and sovereignty,’ he further added. In the beginning of this week, Saudi King Salman had slammed Iran and Iran-backed militant outfits in the Middle East.

Arab countries, Hezbollah, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia,King Salman warned that Hezbollah and Houthi Rebels threatened stability and security in Lebanon and Yemen. Moreover, he also appealed to Lebanese citizens to overthrow the Hezbollah dictatorship. Hence, Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah accused King Salman and Saudi terrorists. Nasrallah slammed Saudi responsible for terrorism in Iraq-Syria. However, before these accusations could receive a response, the Lebanese President and PM expressed their disagreements about these remarks.

Meanwhile, even though the Lebanese government has taken an opposing stance, the Hezbollah leaders are firm on their accusations. Hezbollah’s second in command leader, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has also accused Saudi of terrorism. Besides, he has declared that Hezbollah would continue to act in the future. Thus, it appears that by hurling such accusations, Hezbollah is trying to create a rift between the ruling Lebanese government and Saudi.
