New Delhi: New cases of Coronavirus were found in New Delhi and Telangana. One of these persons had travelled to Italy and the other had travelled to Dubai. Therefore, the Coronavirus crisis is once again staring India in the face, posing a difficult challenge for the health agencies in the country.
Earlier, three patients had been found in Kerala. All the three had returned from Wuhan in China and as they were diagnosed in time, the epidemic could be contained. But with new cases found in New Delhi and Telangana, India is faced with a renewed Coronavirus crisis.
The Coronavirus patient in New Delhi had travelled to Italy. It was clear that the patient had Coronavirus infection after conducting tests in the RML hospital in Delhi. But the Coronavirus patient found in Telangana had visited Dubai. The union health ministry informed that both the patients are being treated and they are being closely monitored. The health ministry said that instructions to be more alert, have been issued to the agencies involved in verifying Coronavirus infections at the airport.
This epidemic, which originated from Wuhan in China, has spread to more than 70 countries in the world. Coronavirus patients have also been found in the United States, Thailand and Australia.
The epidemic has claimed more than 3,000 lives till date and more than 89,000 people have been infected with the virus. Given the speed of spread of the outbreak, the World Health Organisation had expressed concerns that nearly 60% of the world’s population may get Coronavirus infection.
