Belarus army targets Polish security forces with lasers and tear gas

Warsaw/Minsk – Belarus army has instigated aggressive moves to assist intrusion of migrants into Poland. Belarusian soldiers broke the border fence and provided tear gas shells to the migrants. Polish security guards were targeted with laser and stroboscopic lights to cause disturbance in their operation to prevent the migrants. Analysts and officials have warned that the actions of the Belarus army could spark a conflict in the region.

The Border Force of Poland informed about increased Belarusian activities near the Zeremka border in Poland since Friday night. Belarus soldiers broke the temporary fencing to get the migrants into Poland. The Belarus military used laser and strobe lights to disrupt the patrol of the polish security agencies and provided tear gas shells to migrants.

It is being said that the activities on the Polish border are being carried out on orders of Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being the real mastermind and Lukashenko for the crisis developing on the Polish border. President Putin has dismissed the accusations and has clarified that Russia is in no way involved in the tension on the Poland-Belarus border.

Analysts are claiming that the tension on the Belarus-Poland border could spark a war. Analysts from Poland and Lithuania have warned that the pushing migrant influx into Poland is a Hybrid Warfare perpetrated by Belarus. It is also being claimed that the Belarus President is using the immigrants as a weapon. The sequence of events over the last year is said to be the reason behind this.

Last year, an agitation had started against Belarus’s President Alexander Lukashenko. The European Union, along with the United States, had supported the agitation. European countries have even granted asylum to some leaders from Belarus opposing President Lukashenko. There are efforts to exert pressure on Belarus. The European Union has fezzed assets of Lukashenko and his close associates. Billion dollars of aid to Belarus has been stopped. Infuriated with these actions, Lukashenko has started attempting immigrant infiltration with Russian assistance.
