Avenging Soleimani’s killing still on Iran’s agenda – Iran’s defence chief Major General Hossein Bagheri

Tehran: Retribution for the killing of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the former head of Iran’s Quds Force, is still pending. Action against those who killed Soleimani and those who ordered his killing is still on Iran’s agenda. Iran has not forgotten this at all, announced the Chief of Defence Forces of Iran, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri.

Soleimani was targeted in the strike, carried out by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) under the orders of then-President Donald Trump. The killing of Soleimani prompted a strong reaction from Iran, including threats to attack President Trump, senior leaders, and military officers. Iran has also alleged that the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad was involved in Soleimani’s murder.
