Defence Minister inaugurates Hypersonic Wind Tunnel developed by DRD

Hyderabad: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Hypersonic Wind Tunnel developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at Hyderabad. This Hypersonic Wind Tunnel technology will be crucial for testing the hypersonic aircraft, missiles and engines. India becomes the third country in the world, after the United States and Russia, to indigenously develop this technology. At this time, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appealed to the DRDO scientists to make India a military superpower. The Defence Minister underlined that this would undoubtedly make India a superpower.

Rajnath Singh is on a two-day visit to Hyderabad. On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex of the DRDO. At this time, Minister of State for Defence, G. Kishan Reddy, also was present. The Defence Minister inspected the defence technologies being developed by DRDO. Rajnath Singh also reviewed the anti-drone technology.

Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Hypersonic Wind Tunnel developed indigenously by the DRDO. This tunnel will be vital for testing of hypersonic aircraft, missiles and engines to be developed in the future. Given the extent of the Hypersonic Wind Tunnel, India is the third country after the United States and Russia having a facility of this nature.

The Defence Minister had a dialogue with the DRDO researchers on this occasion. Rajnath Singh appealed to the researchers to make India a military superpower. Rajnath Singh said, then, India will become a superpower. The Defence Minister praised the young scientists at the DRDO on this occasion. DRDO needs to pay attention to the advanced requirements of the future. Rajnath Singh said that among these, there should be more focus on cybersecurity, space and artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, only ten days ago, DRDO successfully established connections between two of its laboratories in Hyderabad using Quantum Key Distribution Technology.
