Hyderabad: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Hypersonic Wind Tunnel developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at Hyderabad. This Hypersonic Wind Tunnel technology will be crucial for testing the hypersonic aircraft, missiles and engines. India becomes the third country in the world, after the United States and Russia, to indigenously develop this technology. At this time, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appealed to the DRDO scientists to make India a military superpower. The Defence Minister underlined that this would undoubtedly make India a superpower.

The Defence Minister inspected the defence technologies being developed by DRDO. Rajnath Singh also reviewed the anti-drone technology.

Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Hypersonic Wind Tunnel developed indigenously by the DRDO. This tunnel will be vital for testing of hypersonic aircraft, missiles and engines to be developed in the future. Given the extent of the Hypersonic Wind Tunnel, India is the third country after the United States and Russia having a facility of this nature.
