17 killed in gruesome massacre at Florida High School in the US

Florida: There was a massacre in a school, killing 17 people, in the Parkland city, Florida State in the United States. This unfortunate incident took place in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland and the 19 year old assailant, a debarred student of the school, has been arrested by the security forces. This is the 30th incident of indiscriminate firing in the United States and 18th incident occurring in school. President Trump has expressed grief over the incident and said that no teacher or student should feel insecure in the school.

firing, us, schoolNicholas Cruz entered the school armed with a semi-automatic rifle ‘AR-15’ and ‘Smoke Grenades’ wearing a ‘Gas Mask’ on his face. He set off the fire alarm to get the students and teachers from their classes. As the students and the teachers started coming out of the classrooms he started indiscriminate firing with his rifle. The firing continued for more than half an hour.

The firing by the assailant, Cruz, created a chaotic situation in the school. The assailant escaped from the school taking advantage of the situation. 17 have been killed in this firing by Cruz and more than 15 others have been injured. The local sources informed that 3 of the injured are in a critical condition. The assailant is a student of the same school and has been debarred for disciplinary reasons. It has been found that Cruz had posted his pictures with a big knife in his hand, on the ‘Social Networking Website’.

This gruesome massacre in the Florida school has been recorded as the 18th such incident in schools and 30th incident of indiscriminate firing in this year. These massacres have brought the issue of ‘Gun Control’ in the United States back into limelight. Chris Murphy, a Senior Senator, while speaking in the Senate, expressed displeasure saying that this is a failure at the government level as these incidents are occurring only in the US.

An NSA official and two others were injured in an accident in the premises of the ‘National Security Agency’ in ‘Ford Meade’. The two suspects have been detained and ‘FBI’ has clarified that this was not a terror attack.
