Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed the possibility of nearly 12 more countries being inducted into BRICS. The Russian Foreign Minister said that these include countries like Algeria, Argentina and Iran. Against the background of the statement of the Russian Foreign Minister, media have reported that the African country Algeria has already applied for BRICS membership.
