United States ready to transfer key technology to India – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

New Delhi: The US is ready to transfer important defence technology to India. However, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that in this regard, the information cannot be unveiled now. India has been emphasizing self-reliance in the defence sector as well. We are moving ahead with the goal of a new self-reliant India that is not dependent on other countries. Moreover, several countries have shown their readiness to invest in India’s Defence sector, said the Defence Minister.

This will lead to the development of domestic defence materials and weapons. India’s indigenous industry has the potential to develop defence technologies in the fields of land, water, sky and space. In the next few years, large-scale production of various defence materials will begin in India. Defence Minister has said that the government has been making all efforts to provide the necessary environment for this sector.

In a media interview, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced that the US is ready to transfer vital technology to India. A few days ago, we discussed with US Defense Minister Austin. Austin explained that the US was prepared to provide this significant technology to India.

Besides, Rajnath Singh said that Austin said that if India wants to buy its product, it can be purchased in India. However, the information about this cannot be revealed right now, Singh clarified. The Defence Minister also expressed his belief that India will achieve the target of 1.75 lakh crore defence production in India by 2025.
