Three more terrorists from Hizbul killed in Jammu and Kashmir  

Srinagar: – The security forces killed three more terrorists from Hizbul Mujahideen in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces in Kashmir have killed 17 Hizbul terrorists in June. In the last 16 days, the security forces have killed 41 terrorists, which include members of terrorist organisations Hizbul, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Jammu and Kashmir police informed that the Hizbul terrorist involved in the killing of Sarpanch Ajay Pandit, in Anantnag, also has been killed in one of the encounters.

After receiving a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists in the Turkwangam area, in the Shopian district, 44 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group and 178th Battalion of the CRPF initiated a joint operation. Inspector General of Jammu and Kashmir police Vijay Kumar informed that three terrorists were killed in an encounter at 5 a.m.   

One of the terrorists killed in the encounter has been identified. His name is said to be Kamran Zahoor Manhas. An INSAS Rifle and two AK-47 rifles were seized from the site of the encounter. The security forces have killed a large number of terrorists in various operations over the last few days. Whereas, 22 terrorists have been killed in nine encounters in the Shopian district alone. These terrorists include six commanders.   

Meanwhile, DGP of Jammu and Kashmir police, Dilbagh Singh, informed that terrorists have been completely eliminated from the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Only last month, Hizbul terrorist Tahir Ahmed Bhat was killed in the Doda district. After that, there are almost no terrorists left in the Doda district. Jehangir Saroori aka Mohammed Amin Bhat is the only remaining terrorist in the Doda district, and the security forces are on his trail. A reward has also been announced for providing information regarding him. Singh said that Saroor is operational in this region for the last many years.
