Another 9/11 threat awaits if Taliban is not recognised, threatens Pakistani NSA

London: – If the United States does not recognise the Taliban immediately, there is a threat of another 9/11, warned Moeed Yusuf, Pakistan’s National Security Adviser (NSA). But earlier, in an interview to a British news channel, Moeed Yusuf had given the same warning in slightly different words. After the interview was published in a British newspaper, Yusuf criticised that his speech was completely distorted. Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry has also warned that ignoring Pakistan’s advice on Afghanistan would lead to a dire situation.

‘The problem of Afghanistan cannot be solved without considering what Pakistan has to say. No one can solve the problem of Afghanistan, ignoring Pakistan,’ the Pakistani Minister warned. But no one at the international level paid much attention to Pakistan’s claims. Upset by this, Pakistan is now resorting to more aggressive blackmailing. In an interview with The Sunday Times, this warning issued by Moeed Yousuf, Pakistan’s national security adviser, points to the same strategy.

The newspaper claimed that the Pakistani NSA said that if the United States does not immediately recognise the Taliban, there is a risk of a second 9/11 attack. Yusuf objected to the report. Yusuf explained that his speech was completely distorted. Yusuf had said that if the West left Afghanistan in the lurch, as it did in the 1990s, the previous events would be repeated. After Soviet Russia withdrew from Afghanistan in the 1990s, the United States turned its back on Afghanistan. The 9/11 attacks on the United States were then plotted using Afghan soil. Yusuf referred to this history in his interview.

Despite this, Moeed Yusuf has claimed that his speech was distorted. However, it was revealed that Moeed Yusuf was making similar threats with a slight difference, even during an interview given to the British news channel Sky News. Not only that, but Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry has warned that ignoring Pakistan’s advice on Afghanistan could lead to a dire situation. Millions of Afghan refugees are fleeing to Pakistan. Accepting them would be beyond Pakistan’s capacity. There are already 3.5 million Afghan refugees in Pakistan. In such a scenario, if the Westerners did not heed Pakistan’s advice on Afghanistan, it would lead to a dire situation, Fawad Chaudhry added.

The statements of Moeed Yusuf and Fawad Chaudhry indicate the beginning blackmailing and intimidation by Pakistan. This has been taken seriously by the international media. There may be strong reactions from Western countries as well.
