Taliban has killed over 100 Afghan soldiers, accuses UN General Secretary

New York/Washington – In the five months since taking over the reins of Afghanistan, the Taliban has brutally killed more than 100 former Afghan soldiers. The UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres accused the Taliban has spotted and killed the soldiers who served the Afghan army and assisted the foreign militaries. Whereas, the Biden administration has said that it is impossible that the Taliban regime will get recognition without releasing the US national.

Whereas, reports are also being received that Russia will be holding independent talks with the Taliban. Former Afghan President Amarullah Saleh also will be participating in the talks and it is claimed that he has already reached Moscow. It is being said that Russia is trying to negotiate between the Taliban and the Saleh led Northern Resistance Forces. It is said that the Taliban will also be participating in the talks.

Kabulov also criticised ‘The western countries are trying to force Taliban to accept their conditions by freezing the Afghan national funds parked in those countries. By freezing the Afghan national funds, the western countries are only aggravating the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.’

The Biden administration has frozen Afghan national assets worth nearly $9.5 billion. Although the Russian special envoy avoided mentioning names, he targeted the United States.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden had demanded the release of the US national held captive by the Taliban. Biden threatened that any threat to the life of the US national would not be tolerated. Biden also said that if the Taliban regime is desirous of getting recognition, it must first release the US national. Taliban had abducted the US national two years ago. But this is the first time that the Biden administration has openly demanded the release of the US national since the Taliban took over Afghanistan.
