Security of Israel is the prime reason for Saudi visit

Washington: US President Joe Biden is embarking on his Middle East visit in the second week of July. President Biden said that the Saudi visit among these will not be linked only to fuels and the issue of Israeli security will be in the forefront. Iranian government news agency has reported that some leaders from the ruling Democrat party oppose the US President’s visit to Saudi.

Over the last few days, discussions have been going on that President Biden will be visiting the Middle East countries along with Saudi. Sources claimed he would be reaching the Middle East at the end of June. But the visit was postponed to July for some reason. The dates of the visit of the US President to Saudi, Israel and the other Middle East countries have not been finalised.

But as per the information shared by the officials linked with the US Security Committee, President Biden will leave for the Middle East in the second week of July. The timetable for the visits to Saudi and the other Arab countries has not been revealed. But Israeli officials informed that President Biden would be visiting Israel and West Bank on the 14th and 15th July.

President Biden clarified the main objective of the Middle East visit while speaking to the media on Sunday. President Biden said that the visit to Saudi Arabia would not be connected only to fuels. The meetings in Saudi will be regarding more comprehensive issues. The issues regarding the security of Israel will be at the forefront. The White House has not given any clarifications regarding the statements of the President.

Meanwhile, the Democrat leaders are making a strong demand that the US President should not meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman during his visit. The Democrat leaders are reminding President Biden that Crown Prince Mohammed is facing serious accusations of human rights violations.
