Pakistan military secures release of its soldiers from Tehreek's captivity -

Islamabad/Peshawar: Pakistan Army’s anti-terrorist squad has succeeded in killing 33 Tehreek terrorists who were holding Pakistani soldiers as hostages. Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif announced the safe release of the hostages in operation by the Pakistan Army. But this one action did not end Pakistan’s problem. In the last 12 hours, there has been news that terrorists have captured another Pakistani security force base. Pakistani army soldiers have been killed in a suicide blast in Waziristan.

Two days ago, Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Army’s anti-terror squad brought Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists to a base in Banu for questioning. Defence Minister Asif admitted on Tuesday that the inquiry was to start in the presence of an officer of major rank at this base. At the same time, Tehreek terrorists turned the tables on Pakistan Army itself. Four jawans were killed in the clash between Pakistan Army and Tehreek terrorists.

After this, Tehreek terrorists released a video of a senior officer of the Pakistan Army and presented their demands. It demanded that all Tehreek terrorists be safely transported to Afghanistan by helicopter. Pakistan seemed to be shaken by this action of Tehreek. This was a big shock for the Pakistani people and the journalists, who were proud of their army. Pakistani journalists also expressed the possibility that Tehreek may not have taken this action alone.

Moreover, the government of Pakistan or the army did not respond to the demands of Tehreek 56 hours later. Pakistani journalists asked, ‘how will Pakistan’s leaders and army, who cannot protect their soldiers, protect their people and nuclear weapons?’ These journalists also criticized that Tehreek terrorists are more trained and prepared than Pakistani soldiers.

In such a situation, according to the information of the Defence Minister of Pakistan, around 12:30 pm on Tuesday, the commandos of the Special Service Group of the Pakistan Army killed 33 terrorists in operation at the base in Banu. Khawaja Asif also said that two commandos were killed and one was injured in this operation. Asif informed that the soldiers of the anti-terrorist squad, who were held hostage by Tehreek, were safely released. Some videos of this action were released.
