Santa Fe: Houses in thousands of square kilometres have been devastated by the forest fires raging in New Mexico since April. Hundreds have been dis-housed in the fires and the fires are still raging. After two months, US President Biden will be visiting the area for an inspection. But reports of a massive discontent brewing against him in locals from the region are being received.
Biden has completed one year in the office. His popularity has taken a significant hit during this one year. The US citizens are criticising that the Biden administration has failed not only on the international and domestic policy front. Local media claim that the situation in New Mexico is an excellent example of his failure.
Thousands have been displaced due to the forest fires in New Mexico. At the same time, the inflation in the country is scaling new heights and this too is hitting the displaced people hard. Therefore, as per the local media, discontent against Biden, who is visiting the New Mexico region two months after the fires started, has increased considerably.
