Russian space institute chief questions US whether it is using ISS weighing 500 tonnes against India and China

Moscow: – The United States has imposed sanctions against Russia following the attack on Ukraine. US President Biden has said that the sanctions will target the Russian economy and try to finish Russian capabilities in the space sector. Does this mean that the US-Russia cooperation in the International Space Station (ISS) will be ended? Russia has asked. Besides, the United States is trying to threaten Russian allies India and China, indicating that the ISS weighing 500 tonnes could crash in these countries.

The Biden administration has pressured India to support its stand against Russia on the Ukraine issue. But India has refused and has taken a neutral stand in the matter. Russia welcomed the Indian stance. On its face, the United States is saying that it has accepted that the Indian cooperation with the United States has nothing to do with the India-Russia relations. But in reality, the stand of the United States is that the Indian neutral stand is favouring Russia. This is revealed from the reactions given by some of the US lawmakers.

In this scenario, US President Biden has indicated that the US-Russia cooperation in the ISS will be ended. Russia is pointing this out. If the United States will not cooperate with Russia in the ISS, who will be responsible for saving the space station from the useless garbage in space? The ISS could crash in case of such an accident. But the ISS will not crash in Russia. What will you do if it hits the United States or Europe? Dmitry Rogozin, chief of the Russian space institute, asked, ‘Has the United States prepared for this eventuality?’ It is also possible that the ISS could crash in India or China. Citing this possibility, is the United States trying to threaten the Russian allies India and China? Rogozin has asked.
