Israeli-Palestinian conflict has reached a critical stage – UN ambassador warns

Jerusalem: The increasing violence in the West Bank region of Israel and Palestine for the past few days is serious. Due to this conflict, the situation in the area has reached a critical stage. The conflict cannot be stopped without diplomatic intervention, stated UN-designated ambassador Tor Wennesland. Wennesland blamed the decline in international support for Mahmoud Abbas’ government of Palestine as responsible for this worsening situation. Wennesland also said that the United Nations could not refuse the responsibility of Palestine.
