After the Abraham Accords, Israel and the UAE also started efforts towards increasing defence cooperation. As a part of this, Israel’s famous company Israel Aerospace Industries-IAI decided to jointly develop an unmanned patrol vessel with the UAE-based technological group EDGE. Along with automatic systems, robotics and sonar systems have been used in the said patrol vessel.

At the exhibition, the Israeli company informed that the vessel could also be used to collect information on marine debris on a commercial level, assist in extracting fuel and fuel gas, and rescue operations.

Meanwhile, an Israeli-UAE-built unmanned patrol vessel is claimed to be a warning to Iran. The Israeli media is drawing attention to the fact that Israel and the UAE have prepared to respond to Iran’s growing aggression in the maritime areas of the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea.
