Israel to provide drones, Anti Drone systems to Bahrain

Washington: A leading US newspaper claimed that Israel was building a big front against Iran with the help of the Gulf countries. Israel is going to provide drones as well as anti-drone systems to Bahrain. For this, Israeli military officials will visit Bahrain. The newspaper said Israeli drones would soon be seen patrolling Bahrain’s airspace. Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz announced a few days ago that a particular air security system is necessary for Israel and its Arab allies.

In 2020, the Abraham Accords were signed between Israel and Bahrain. The two countries have since taken quick steps to enhance cooperation. Israeli media claimed that the two countries would strengthen defence and trade cooperation. Speaking at a military event last week, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz made it clear that defence cooperation with countries involved in the Abraham Accords and other Arab countries will be enhanced. Gantz had hinted at providing air security systems to Gulf countries in the wake of Iran’s growing threat.

But now, according to the information published by the American newspaper ‘The Wall Street Journal’, Israel has started defence cooperation with Bahrain. Israel is going to provide drones as well as anti-drone systems to Bahrain. Israel will not only be limited to providing this system to Bahrain, but Israel will also train Bahrain’s military officers. The American newspaper reported that a team of Israeli military officials would soon leave for Bahrain for the purpose. The newspaper claimed that the cooperation between Israel and Bahrain was a warning to Iran.

A few months ago, Iran-affiliated Houthi rebels in Yemen launched an attack with explosive-armed drones on the capitals of the Gulf countries of Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Saudi and UAE had suffered heavy losses in this. In such a situation, Israel, supplying drones and anti-drone systems to Bahrain, can also provide these to the Saudis and the UAE in the coming days. The American newspaper has pointed out that Israel and Arab countries will form a front against Iran if this happens.

Meanwhile, Western media says that the military alliance of Israel and Arab countries can be the answer for Iran and Iran-affiliated terrorist organizations. A few days ago, Iran claimed that the coalition of Israel and Arab countries could not do anything to them.
