Indian Air Force can respond to enemy in their language: Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria

Hindon: Peace has importance in the Indian culture and the Indian Air Force (IAF) will make all the possible efforts to maintain this peace. The IAF has demonstrated its capabilities, as to what it can do when it is the question of fighting the enemy. The IAF Bravehearts have demonstrated this on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. The IAF has made deployments in the region, in a concise time and IAF chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria announced that the IAF is prepared to defend the country in every situation. Only two days ago, the IAF Chief had declared that IAF is ready to fight a war on both, China and Pakistan fronts. Meanwhile, President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent their good wishes, on the occasion of the 88th ‘Airforce Foundation Day’.

The function to celebrate the 88th Foundation Day, of the IAF, was held at the Hindon Air Base at Ghaziabad, in Uttar Pradesh. The IAF Chief mentioned the future challenges, while speaking on this occasion. The IAF Chief said that the IAF is passing through a transition phase. The IAF Chief said ‘During this Transition phase, the definition of capabilities of the IAF will change and IAF will undertake campaigns on multiple fronts. Because the coming decade will be challenging.’ The IAF Chief exuded confidence ‘Currently, the country and the IAF are faced with the threats of cyberattacks and drones. But the IAF, as usual, is preparing for every challenge and the objective is preparing the best Airforce, while countering these challenges.’  

The IAF Chief announced that recently included Rafale fighter Jets, Chinook and Apache helicopters have augmented the strength of the IAF. Bhadauria said that at the same time, the Indian defence forces are being equipped with the indigenous defence equipment and this is a major achievement. The IAF Chief reminded that BrahMos missiles, Rohini Radars, Tejas Fighter jets and Akash missile systems have been developed with Indian technology. Whereas, the IAF response, even during the Coronavirus crisis was strong. India helped its neighbours, in every possible way, during the crisis. Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria said that it was the IAF who brought the Indians brethren, stranded in the foreign countries, safely back to the homeland. IAF Chief Bhadauria expressed confidence that the IAF will keep functioning with full capacity, looking at the resolve of the ‘Air Warriors’.  

On this occasion, 56 IAF jets demonstrated their skills at the function held at the Hindon Air Base. The Rafale fighter jets joining the parade, for the first time, became the centre of attraction for everyone. Whereas, indigenous Tejas, Sukhoi-30MKI, Mirage 2000, modernised in India over the last few years, Jaguar, MIG-29 and MIG-21 also participated in the air show. Other than these, solo exercises by the indigenously built LCH Rudra, which satisfied the qualifying criteria of the IAF and joint exercises of the Russian made MI-17 and US-made Apache helicopters also were a feast to the eyes.
