Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has demanded plebiscite in Kashmir and stated that Kashmir issue is not limited to internal issues of India. Pakistan Prime Minister’s adviser, Sartaj Aziz, referred Burhan Wani as ‘a leader of Kashmir’. Further, by declaring a ‘Black Day’ to protest the atrocities in Kashmir by the Indian Army, Pakistan has provoked India. Pakistan has also demanded an inquiry with the Human Rights at UN into probing of Indian Army’s operations and atrocities in Kashmir. There has been an intense protest outside the Indian Embassy in Pakistan, which poses security concerns to Indian officials. Indian Government has been closely following all the unfolding of the events.

Indian Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, in his Parliament speech blamed the entire unrest in Kashmir to have been provoked and instigated by Pakistan. Later, Information & Broadcasting Minister, Venkaiah Naidu, emphasizing on Pakistan’s terrorism backed policy stated that all the Pakistan state-sponsored terrorism is directed towards India. Pakistan trains and provides financial assistance to multiple terrorist groups to target India. India is fully aware of all the activities. Internationally declared terrorist like Hafiz Saeed, openly holds rallies with provocative anti-India speeches and no action is taken against him by Pakistani Government”.

Spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Vikas Swaroop condemned Pakistan’s backing of terrorism and stated that India has closely watched the protest march held in the last two days in Pakistan, in which internationally declared terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin had participated. Vikas Swaroop, also reiterated that slain chiefs of Al Qaeda and Taliban, Osama Bin Laden and Mansoor Akhtar respectively were also found in Pakistan. It further substantiates claims of India, that Pakistan has a state-sponsored policy of terrorism and it provides safe havens to international terrorists.

By declaring ‘Black Day’ in protest of killing of a terrorist by Indian Army, Pakistan is exposing itself. The protest outside the Indian Embassy in Pakistan is causing security concerns to the Indian officials. Also the opinion sought in PoK is just a staged drama by Pakistan.

Spokesperson Swaroop, reprimanded Pakistan that before escalating the Kashmir issue in the UN forum, it should first vacate the illegally occupied region of Kashmir and fulfill its obligation and responsibility, rather than misguiding the international community.
