The death of another girl student who was thrashed by security forces increased dissatisfaction in Iran – Western media claims

Tehran: After the death of a 22-year-old young woman, Mahsa Amini, an anti-hijab agitation erupted in Iran. While the scale of the agitation grew, the news was released that Iranian forces had killed a 16-year-old girl student named Arsa Panahi. Arsa Panahi had been beaten up by security personnel after she refused to sing an anthem praising Iran’s Supreme Religious Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei and the Iranian regime. The teachers’ association in Iran informed that she died therein. After this, the intensity of the movement in Iran increased further, and it is distinctly visible that the increasing participation of students in this has become a big challenge for the regime of Iran.

The death of another girl student who was thrashed by security forces increased dissatisfaction in Iran - Western media claimsOn October 13, Arsa Panahi refused to sing the anthem praising Ayatollah Khamenei and the Iranian regime despite being told by Iranian security forces. After this, the personnel beat her. As a result, injured Arsa was admitted to the hospital. However, she died. But we are not responsible for her death, Iranian security officials have claimed. Besides, Iranian media say that Arsa died of heart disease. But the Iran teachers’ association has said Arsa died from beatings. Western media say students’ anger has been seen to have intensified more against the Iranian regime.

The reaction of Iranian students in the Western media seems to be increasing, and their anger against the Iranian regime has been increasing. Western media claim that young students especially have expressed their determination to participate in this movement in the future. Their names have not been disclosed to the media for security reasons. But due to their strong reaction, there are clear indications that the agitation against the regime of Iran will not subside soon. Claims are also being made that the anti-hijab movement has given way to the growing discontent against the regime of Iran from the teachers, workers, traders and industrial sector.

Girl students and young women participated in this movement. But now, women wearing hijabs also protest against the Iranian regime. Especially the participation of the youth in these demonstrations is posing a new challenge to the Iranian system. Some western news organisations have claimed that this may have repercussions in the future. Women worldwide have been supporting this movement in Iran in different ways. Even in Lebanon, considered a pro-Iranian country, students have announced their support for this movement in Iran. The pressure seems to be on the Iranian regime.

Saying that the US and Israel were behind this movement in Iran, Religious Leader Ali Khamenei accused it of conspiracy against Iran’s regime. According to the political system of Iran, all the political powers of Iran have converged in the hands of Supreme Leader Khamenei. The regime established in this country after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 is not acceptable to the current generation of Iran. Also, the people of Iran, suffering unemployment, inflation and economic problems, seem unhappy with Khamenei’s rule. At the same time, the regime of Iran has been taking violent actions to suppress the agitation against it. This, too, has evoked strong reactions from the people of Iran.
