‘If China attacks Taiwan in the future, the US will participate in this war. This will lead to a major war. If this happens, the US and China will attack military satellites to disable each other’s precision attack missiles. This will turn the Taiwan war into a war in space,’ a news channel reporter warned, quoting Pentagon officials.

Furthermore, some military officials also warn of a cyber war between the US and China after the attack on Taiwan. The ‘Indo-Pacific Command-INDOPACOM’ has warned that if a war with China breaks out, the US will run out of arms in seven days. To avoid this, INDOPACOM suggested increasing the budget of INDOPACOM, as well as integrating the US’ advanced air and cyber security systems by 2027. China has planned an attack on Taiwan in 2027. Therefore, the US should increase its military preparedness before that, INDOPACOM said. In the meantime, the Australian Defence Minister has made a startling claim, stating that if a conflict erupts between the US and China concerning Taiwan, Australia’s role in the war is uncertain. Previously, Australia had clearly indicated that it would support Taiwan against China. Therefore, the shift in Australia’s stance is noteworthy.
