Madrid / Beijing – It has been revealed that about 10,000 people of Chinese descent who migrated from China and opposed the communist regime have been forcibly repatriated. The action has been taken through two campaigns, ‘Operation Fox Hunt’ and ‘Operation Skynet’. It is being revealed that the campaign was carried out at the behest of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The NGO ‘Safeguard Defenders’ in Spain has released a report in this regard and claimed that the revealed figures could be the tip of the iceberg.
Moreover, China’s ruling communist regime pursues various avenues to maintain its international influence and dominance. A number of cases in this regard have been coming to the fore in the last few years and there has been a growing outcry against the campaigns and programs implemented by the Chinese regime. The report, prepared by the NGO Safeguard Defenders, is considered part of such an effort.
Since President Xi Jinping took over the reins of China, he has launched a series of campaigns in the name of anti-corruption programs. ‘Operation Fox Hunt’ and ‘Operation Skynet’ are part of the same. Through these campaigns, Jinping launched an aggressive campaign to repatriate Chinese nationals who opposed the communist regime and were active abroad. According to a report by Safeguard Defenders, Chinese agents were also sent abroad for the operation.
According to Safeguard Defenders, the Chinese authorities used three routes to repatriate Chinese nationals abroad. It is estimated that about 10,000 people of Chinese descent have been repatriated through intimidation and imprisonment of relatives of the person concerned in China, extortion by sending agents abroad and mass abduction. Information released by the Chinese authorities in this regard claims that only the criminals have been brought back.
However, it has been revealed that those who returned through ‘Operation Fox Hunt’ and ‘Operation Skynet’ included Uighurs and those who opposed Jinping. The NGO said that they occasionally took help from security agencies abroad. China has reportedly carried out such activities in countries like UAE, Egypt, and also the US. It is learned that China has launched operations in about 120 countries. The Safeguard Defenders report referred to these operations as ‘long arm policing’ of the communist regime abroad.
The European NGO alleged that these activities of the Communist regime of China have endangered the sovereignty of many countries and also violated human rights in a big way.
