China has started developing its independent Tiangong space station. Currently, the space station is developing and China has claimed it will be completed by 2033. China has sent its astronauts for building the space station. But the Chinese foreign ministry claimed that the security of the space station and the astronauts had been threatened twice in the last six months.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian accused that the Starlink satellites launched under the Space-X program of the US entrepreneur Elon Musk were on course to dash near the Tiangong space station. Lijian claimed that the threat was averted as the Chinese astronauts changed the course of the space station. Lijian informed that a formal complaint had been lodged with the United Nations against the United States and the Starlink program of Musk.

China accused, ‘The United States has ignored the international space regulations. This has threatened the security of the astronauts and the other Chinese interests in space.’ Moreover, Intense reactions are being received on the Chinese social media against Elon Musk and the Tesla company. A demand for a ban on Elon Musk and the products of Tesla is also gaining ground.

Ned Price, the US department of state spokesman, refrained from reacting to the Chinese accusations. Whereas, Musk and the Tesla company have not responded to the accusations. Tesla company started launching the Starlink satellites in the year 2019. Musk has announced that 42,000 satellites will be launched for providing high-speed internet service around the world. More than 1,900 satellites of the company are already settled into orbits.

There are nearly 6,500 satellites currently orbiting the earth and only about 3,372 of these are functional. The other satellites are defunct, adding to the space debris. In this scenario, concerns are being expressed that the Starlink of Musk is significantly increasing the number of satellites orbiting the earth. Chinese analysts are warning that if these Starlink satellites collide with other satellites and cause a significant explosion, the repercussions will be felt all around the globe and will spark a space war.
