This is not the era of war - France supports India's appealWhile addressing the United Nations General Assembly, President Macron said that Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, was right when he said the time is not for war. It is not for revenge against the West or opposing the West against the East. It is the time for a collective time for our sovereign equal states. To cope together with the challenges we face. President Macron claimed an urgent need for those with extreme differences to work together on food, biodiversity and education. While addressing the General Assembly, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said that the world is facing a dire situation, citing the conflict in Ukraine and other challenges around the world. While these concerns are being expressed in the General Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned the world that the conflict in Ukraine could turn into a nuclear war.

In such a situation, the statements made by the Indian Prime Minister are being cited by the President of France – this is an interesting fact. The United States and European countries also cited Prime Minister Modi‘s statement that this is not a time of war. The West is claiming that the Prime Minister of India blamed Russia for the conflict in Ukraine and gave this impression to President Putin. But in reality, India did not take any side in the Ukraine conflict but sought to resolve the issue through negotiations, understanding the legitimate security interests of each country. This includes Russia’s legitimate security interests, India points out.

In such a situation, it seems that the West is using these statements made by the Prime Minister of India for their interests. But considering the traditional cooperation between India and Russia, this is unlikely to affect the relations between the two countries.
