Over the last few weeks, the number of suspicious attacks on the freight ships sailing through the sector has increased. Attacks on two of these ships were drones attacks. Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz accused that Iran was behind these attacks. Iran had launched these drones from two secret locations. An independent shed has been built at the Chabahar airport for drones and Defence Minister Gantz informed during a function that these drones are launched from the airstrip.

Iran has built a secret drone base on the Qeshm Island, in the Strait of Hormuz. The drone attack was launched from this base. Israeli Defence Minister even published photographs of both these locations. Defence Minister Gantz informed those present regarding the drones deployed at these locations. At the same time, Gantz warned that these drone bases pose a threat to Israel and the entire international community.

Israeli Defence Minister accused that Iran sent drones into Israeli limits through Syria to increase the strength of Hezbollah. A few months ago, Iran had planned to land a drone filled with TNT explosives in the West Bank. This was an Iranian conspiracy to arm the terrorists from the Westbank. Gantz said that the Israeli agencies busted the Iranian plot.
