US think tank holds Biden administration responsible for attacks on UAE and Saudi by Houthi rebels

Washington – A renowned US thinktank has accused the Biden administration of framing policies that encourage the Houthi rebels to launch attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia. The United States is losing the trust of the Arab countries given the efforts of the Biden administration to reconcile with Iran. The think tank has warned that the increasing aggression of Iran-backed Houthi rebels will pose a security threat to the UAE, Saudi, and the United States.

Following the missile attacks by the Houthi rebels over the last month, UAE appealed to the United States to include the Houthi rebels once again on the terror list. But the Biden administration has not acted upon it. Analysts and journalists from the Middle East have criticised the US policy, which has encouraged the Houthi rebels resulting in intensified attacks on UAE and Saudi.

At the same time, the think tank has highlighted the growing resentment of the Gulf Cooperation Council over the Houthi attacks on the UAE. The United States is losing the trust of Middle Eastern countries, given its soft stand regarding the Houthi rebels. The think tank has warned that if the US continues to support Iran and the Iran affiliated terrorist organisations, it will threaten the security of the Middle Eastern countries and the United States, and the Biden administration to be responsible for it.
