53 % minors, victims of sexual harassment

New Delhi: Report by the Central Government of India on the basis of the survey conducted by it, has revealed that almost 53 % kids in our country are victims of sexual harassment. To stop sexual harassment of children, strong legal provisions have been put in place. Inspite of the provisions it is quite shocking to see that the sexual harassment of the minors has continued. The Union Women and Child Development Ministry had conducted a survey in the year 2007, in the background of these atrocities against the minors.
