In the last few days, Taliban has conducted a severe military raid in Afghanistan. The news claim that Afghan troops have either surrendered to Taliban or fled. However, the Afghan armed forces say that they subsided the Taliban attack. On Thursday, the Afghan forces informed about carrying out action in 15 provinces against Taliban. 258 Taliban militants were slain in this action and 142 injured. Moreover, the Afghan media claimed that the Afghan forces compelled Taliban to retreat from Herat province.

But the locals say that the Taliban attacks have intensified. As per the claims, Taliban has intensified its attacks near the Pakistan border area. On Thursday, the Taliban militants destroyed a key bridge in Paktika province. Over the last month, Taliban has captured 700 military vehicles from the Afghan Forces, an international news agency claimed. All the more, news had surfaced that the Taliban handed over some of these vehicles to the Pak army beyond Durand Line.

So, the Afghan CEO Abdullah Abdullah expressed concerns over this matter. In the last few days, the German and Italian troops have completed withdrawal from Afghanistan. Besides, in the last three days, it is being said that the US troops would complete withdrawal till July 4. ‘The withdrawal of foreign troops would create a huge void on the front of Afghan security,’ Abdullah expressed concern.

‘The Taliban would increase its attacks in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of these foreign troops. This would threaten the existence, security and harmony of Afghanistan. Even though the Afghan government and civilians want peace, the Taliban is moving towards capital city Kabul. In this situation, every group in Afghanistan must unite, Abdullah appealed.

Meanwhile, Taliban would once again capture the country after the US and NATO army withdrawal. Besides, in the times to come, a civil war would spark in Afghanistan and warn senior US military officials and experts. Moreover, information has surfaced that over 600 US troops would remain deployed in Afghanistan. However, the US, Afghan leaders, and officials have drawn attention to the rising Taliban attacks and their support from Pakistan.
