US supremacy has been defeated: Iranian President Raisi

Tehran – ‘The attack on the US Congress on January 6 and the tragic death of two Afghans a month ago, falling off a US plane, made history this year. From the Capitol to Kabul, one clear message was sent to the world: the U.S.′ hegemonic system has no credibility, whether inside or outside the country’, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi remarked. In his first speech at the UN General Assembly, President Raisi launched an attack on the United States. He emphasised that Iran does not trust the assurances given by the United States and its allies.

Biden said the United States had finally ended its war in Afghanistan after 20 years. Iranian President Raisi lashed out at the statements. Raisi alleged that the US supremacy and sanctions policy was an utter failure.

‘Hegemonic rulers, their plans to dominate other countries and impose Western culture, have failed miserably. The same hegemonic policies of the United States led to bloodshed and instability in this region. In the end, the United States was defeated and had to flee. The United States did not withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan, but they were thrown out’, Raisi said.

‘The United States that has been waging war with sanctions is now keen to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran. But Iran has lost faith in the United States’, Raisi warned. The Iranian President pointed out that even the American people are criticising the administration of their own country. Raisi then targeted Israel. President Raisi accused Israel of being the biggest sponsor of terrorism. Raisi claimed that by cornering the Gaza Strip, Israel had made it the largest prison in the world.
