Washington: US President Joe Biden has warned that a new epidemic is underway. Additional provisions must be made to counter the new epidemic. Earlier, the World Health Organisation (WHO) had warned that an epidemic more dangerous than the Coronavirus pandemic would hit the world. The World Health Network (WHN) warned that Monkeypox spreading in certain countries over the last few weeks is the new big epidemic.
Moreover, President Biden warned of the new epidemic while speaking to the media regarding the success achieved by the United States in handling the Coronavirus pandemic. Biden added that decisions would have to be considered in the future. The US President refused to elaborate on the subject. But the statements of the US President have attracted the attention of global media.
A few days ago, the WHO had warned of a new pandemic. The WHO warned that this pandemic could be more lethal than the Coronavirus. Monkeypox played havoc in the United Kingdom and some other countries after this. Therefore, questions were being asked as to whether Monkeypox is the new pandemic. The health organisations had dismissed the claims at that time.
But the organisation WHN claimed that Monkeypox is the new pandemic. There are 3,417 cases in 58 countries. The organisation claimed that the epidemic is spreading rapidly. WHN has warned that there could be dire consequences if the international community does not act in time to stop the outbreak. A WHO meeting is scheduled to start in the next few hours. WHN and the US President issued these warnings just before the meeting.
