US must boycott Winter Olympics in China over Uighur genocide, demand Republican senators incl. Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo

Washington: – Former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, demanded ‘If it was known that Hitler will be carrying out a genocide of Jews, would the United States have participated in the 1936 Berlin Olympics? Certainly not. The current Chinese regime is openly massacring the Uyghur people. Therefore, the United States should not participate in the Winter Olympics to be held in China in 2022.’ Haley also warned that Communist China is more dangerous than Nazi Germany. Following Haley, former Secretary of State and other Republican party Senators demanded a boycott on the 2022 Winter Olympics in China.

Former US Ambassador Haley, has compared the regimes of Hitler in Germany and Jinping in China in an article written for a US news agency. Nikki Haley reprimanded the Biden administration in strong words ‘Hitler rapidly increased his military might and legalised religious hatred. Till the Berlin Olympics, Hitler did not attack any neighbouring country. But he had setup concentration camps for Jews in Germany. But a visionary leader like Winston Churchill had identified the Hitler threat well in time. Others fell prey to the Hitler propaganda and thought that Hitler would improve. Don’t have such unreasonable expectations from communist China.’

Haley tried to draw the Biden administration’s attention saying, ‘China has already made its intentions clear. Long ago, China has trampled the rights of the people of Tibet. China finished the democracy in Hongkong. China is threatening the Taiwanese democracy daily. China is making systematic efforts to conceal the origin of the most dangerous pandemic of the century, the Coronavirus.’

The entire world is aware of the atrocities being showered on the Uyghur people, in the Xinjiang province. Haley reminded that former President Donald Trump had raised his voice against these atrocities against the Uyghurs. What Hitler did in the 1940 decade has already been started by China. Haley appealed that, therefore, the United States should not support the Uyghur genocide by participating in the Winter Olympics 2022, to be held in China.

Former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo also demanded that the United States not participate in the Winter Olympics 2022. The United States should not participate unless the Olympics are moved to a country other than China. Republican Senator, Rick Scott, presented a stand that the United States cannot support the atrocities against the Uyghurs’ atrocities by participating in the Winter Olympics 2022 in China. But the Biden administration reacted that no decision has been made, so far, in this regard. In China, the demand for boycotting the Winter Olympics is gaining ground even in the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. Some lawmakers in the British Parliament appealed to boycott the Winter Olympics 2022 in China, raising atrocities against the Uyghurs. Whereas, a resolution has been moved for boycotting the Winter Olympics 2022 in the Canadian Parliament.

Meanwhile, Winter Olympics 2022 is scheduled to be held in Beijing’s Chinese capital in the first week of February next year. The 2008 Olympics held in Beijing has helped enhance the Chinese image on the global level. The western media claim that the Winter Olympics 2022 will strengthen the Chinese dictatorship on similar lines.
