India and other Asian countries under threat from the Communist Party of China, warns Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State

Washington: US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, once again pointed to the increasing conflict with China by saying that India, along with other leading countries in Southeast Asia, has a perceived threat from the activities of the Chinese communist party. This threat is the biggest challenge faced by the United States in current times. It is only for this that the United States is changing its military deployment policies, and more stress is being given on defence preparedness in Asia. At the same time, he indicated that the centre of the US-China conflict would be Asia.

The edge of the political conflict initiated by the United States against China, since the last few months, seems to have become sharper. President Donald Trump and the other leaders in the Trump administration are consistently targeting the ruling Chinese communist party. Although the Coronavirus pandemic is the main reason for this, it seems that the US leadership has taken an initiative to expose the Chinese domination policies and the activities related to the policy.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is the leader of the pack and is hitting the Chinese communist party hard, consistently, since the last few months. Repeating this in the Brussels Forum Conference, Secretary of State Pompeo pointed out that the biggest threat of the activities of the Chinese communist party is for India and the leading countries in the Southeast Asian region. The US Secretary of State warned that the provocative actions of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are a part of the same strategy and the dreadful conflict on the Indo-China border also is a part of the policy. At this time, Pompeo pointed to the aggressive actions of the PLA in the South China Sea and the consistent threats issued to the neighbouring countries.

A few days ago, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other senior officials had reprimanded China over the Chinese attack on India. Pompeo had accused that the Chinese PLA purposely created tension with India, the largest democracy in the world. At the same time, the US Secretary of State had created a sensation by referring to the Chinese communist government as ‘Rascals’.

The US Secretary of State justified the altered military deployment plan during the Brussels Forum, mentioning the perceived threats from the Chinese communist party and the PLA. Pompeo clarified that the activities of the Chinese communist party is the biggest challenge faced by the United States, and it has, therefore, been decided to increase military deployment in Asia. Only a few days ago, US National Security Advisor Robert O’Brian had confessed that it is now that the United States has realised the threat posed by the Chinese communist party. Following this, the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, said that the communist party and the PLA are the biggest challenges faced by the United States and that the United States openly preparing to counter the threat has become significant.

Meanwhile, the United States, which has taken an open stand against the Chinese communist party, has started taking actions directly against the party. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the current and former officials from the Chinese communist party responsible for depriving Hongkong of its autonomy would not be given the US visa. This is the second action against the officials of the Chinese communist party over the issue of Hong Kong National Security Law this week. Only a few days ago, the US Senate passed a bill allowing the imposition of sanctions against the officials of the Chinese communist party.

The increased US activities in the sectors near China since the last few months, and the confirmation given by a senior leader like Mike Pompeo only demonstrate that the United States has accelerated the conflict against the Chinese communist government. Against this background, the international media has started discussing the possibility of sparking of a war between the United States and China.
